Cloning Creatures

Who can clone?

The ability to clone can be acquired by anyone who completes a specific quest. In order to start the quest, you must enter any research station that is set to open-to-all, or any research centre that is powered and open-to-all.

The quest involves some fights, therefore it is suggested to have a squad of well-equipped military NPCs to help you. It is also possible to fight together with other characters.

Your character's skills are not required. The only skill that is taken into account during cloning is Medical Treatment, and it affects the number of concurrent clonings. If you have 0, you can still clone one creature, and if you have 5 you can clone 6 creatures simultaneously.

How does it work?

You must start by cloning Tiny creatures before unlocking the cloning for Small creatures. The order of cloning is the same as the order of size: Tiny, Small, Medium, Large, Huge, Colossal.

Improving your Research Level unlocks bigger sizes. For example, after cloning *successfully* 12 tiny creatures you can start cloning Small creatures as well.

To start the actual cloning, you must have two creatures of the same type. The DNA synthesis can fail or be successful, and it lasts 5 (five) days. Cloning costs credits, with discounts for higher Research Levels, and time is dependent upon the creature's size.
