The Sim News are a method of communication between the Developers and the SWC Staff and the common Combine community. It includes information from the developers and admins about changes that have been made to the game, announcements of contests, and a 'wall of shame' for those banned from the game for breaking the rules. There are three different categories of Sim News:
Technical News
This is news about changes to the game that may or may not have an effect on you as a player. Things that will be posted will include: bug-fix reports; sync updates; description/rules changes; Artwork additions and fixes; warnings about bugs currently in effect that pose a significant issue.
Player Administration
This is news that involves the players, either requesting certain information from them, informing the player base about upcoming events and other such things.
Community News
This is news that informs the players about players that have been banned for exploitation or rules breaking, sanctions against players or factions for various reasons and informing players about a potential exploit that they should refrain from using while it gets fixed.
