This is both easy and hard. All [http://www.swcombine.com/rules/?Races races] have a certain percentage chance of become Force Sensitive (or FS). These are typically very low, with the highest chance being 6%. When you create your character the server will automatically run an equation to determine if you are FS. If you manage to beat the odds and become FS, you will not be informed. You must be detected by another FS player, and this is explained more below.

Though you may be FS, you will not be given any indication of this. You will receive the hidden skill bonuses, but these will not be shown (hence 'hidden'). To discover if you are FS or not, you must be tested by another player who is already FS and has skill points in the 'Force Detection' skill. They will then test you, which will take 1 hour. After this they will receive an event informing them as to whether you are FS or not. If you are they then have the option to reveal this to you, unlocking your ability to use the force, or they can choose not to reveal this to you.

The Force is what Jedi, Sith and other Force Sensitive characters use. They use it to access force abilities that give them additional strategic options, as well as boosting their usual skills slightly. Many people wish to be Force Sensitive, but very few are.

How Do I Become Force Sensitive?

Most races have a certain percentage chance of become Force Sensitive (or FS). These are typically very low, with the highest chance being 6%. When you create your character the server will automatically run an equation to determine if you are FS. If you manage to beat the odds you will be found force sensitive. You will not be informed of this however. In order to unlock your force abilities you must be tested by another FS player and they must opt to inform you. See Force Detection.

If you are not Force Sensitive at creation, there is a chance for you to become so as you level up. Every 5 levels after the first (ie levels 1, 6, 11, 16, etc) the server will re-roll your FS chance to determine if you have become FS. If you are already FS it does not do this. The equation it uses to determine your chance is:

Probability to become Force-Sensitive at Level X = RFP + ((X - 1) / 5) * (RFP / 2)

  • RFP = Race Force Probability, this is what is listed on your races stat page
  • X = your current level

What Happens When I Am Force Sensitive?

As explained earlier you will recieve bonuses to certain skills. The value of the bonus will be dependant on the value of the facet responsible, as in the below table:

Associated Facet Enhanced Skill Category
Telepathy Social
Telekinesis Ground
Life General
Energy Space

In addition there are several other benefits you get, so long as you have been revealed as FS, as above in 'Force Test'. The primary change you will notice is that there is a new section to your sidebar. This section (image shown at top) shows you your Force Bar, as well as your current and maximum Force Points. Clicking on your Force Point value will open up the Force pages.

Initial Skill Allocation

When you first access the Force page, you will be asked to allocate your initial batch of skill points into your force skills. How many you receive will be determined by how high your facet value is. Skill costs are the same as for normal Skills, and so the higher the level you want, the more skill points you will have to use. Additionally, at this point you cannot assign skill points to the Universal facet, only to the Telepathy, Life, Energy and Telekinesis facets.
