Recycling is the process of turning an entity back into Raw Materials. There are two steps to recycling: wrecking and recycling.
Wrecking
Wrecking is the process of damaging an entity so that it can be recycled at a later date.
Recycling
Recycling is where you break apart a wreck, destroying it to generate a number of Raw Materials.
Requirements
In order to be able to recycle you must meet some requirements first.
- You must be in an entity that has the recycling capability, such as the Salvager Droid. Indicated by the

- Recycling faction must have sufficient credits to cover the recycling.
- Must be sufficient storage space if wanting to recover any Raw Materials.
- The entity being recycled must be either owned by the Recycling faction, or Managed by the Recycling faction while the Operator is a member of that faction.
- There must be a player of NPC present for the entire time of recycling.
- Any NPCs being used for recycling must be the 'Recycler' NPC type, and must be owned either by the Recycling faction or the pilot of the recycling vehicle.

How Do I Recycle?
Once you meet the above requirements, you can begin to recycle. To do so, do the following:
- ::Control::
- Click [Enter Cockpit] or [Building Management] depending on where you are.
- Click the [Actions] button on the central horizontal bar.
- Click the [Recycle] button on the left.
- Click the [Recycling Status] button in the center.
- From the list of available wrecks, tick the box of the one you wish to recycle.
- Click the [Add] or [Add All] buttons to add them to the queue for recycling.
- Click [Start Recycling].
It will give you details on the entity you are recycling, such as:
- Name - what it is called
- Damage - how much damage it has received
- Estimate, Time - the rough time it will take to finish recycling
- Estimate, Cost - the rough cost it will take to recycle the entity
- Estimate, Returned Material - the rough percentage of RMs you will receieve from recycling the entity
Recycling a City
Only empty cities (with no facilities in them) can be recycled. To recycle a city, that city must be owned by the same Recycling faction as the owner of the recycling entity.
