Combine Points (or CPs) are an OOC reward to players for helping the combine. There are a variety of ways of obtaining them, as well as uses for them. The number you currently have is shown on the sidebar, underneath your avatar.

Getting CPs

CPs are obtained from helping the Combine in some way. Most players will get them from voting, while others will get them for helping with art, or descriptions etc.

Voting

This is the main method players get CPs. Going to the Support the Combine page will give you a variety of different voting options. There are a series of voting sites you can visit each day on the left of the page. Simply click the button and vote on the site to get 10 CPs per vote.

Surveys

This is accessed on the same page as the Voting. On the right of that page are 2 survey systems (Blvd-Media and CPALead). Click on the offer there, do what they require and you will recieve the relevant CP reward. Sometimes the system doesn't register that you completed it, but they are refreshed every so often so you will not run out.

Dontations

You can donate to the Combine and receive some CPs for your trouble. You will receive 1,000 CPs for every US$1 you donate. Donation page is again, on the above site.

Helping

You can get CPs for helping enhance the Combine in many different ways. Helping to update descriptions for entities, creating new art for SWC to use all can give you CPs. How much will depend on the qunatity, quality and the leader of the relevant group.

Using CPs

There are several ways you can use your CPs to get things in SWC.

Credits

You can use your CPs to directly get credits. However the exchange rate (5 credits per CP) is rather poor compared with other options. Best to use when you desperately need a few credits right now. Even then its not the most ideal solution.

Entities

You can use CPs to get various entities within SWC, including ships, vehicles and droids. The selection you can choose from is not large, but it will cover the bases of most requirements. These entities are only around for a year or two before they are removed and new ones replace them. To get them you need to be in the relevant facility, and access the Exchange CPs page. That will tell you which facility you need to be in to spawn the entity.

When you are in one of the appropiate facilities, you will see a list of entities you can spawn, along with the cost of each. Simple put the number of the entity you would like (so if you wanted just one, type '1' not the number of CPs that will be used) and press the [Exchange] button. It will be spawned outside at the top left corner of the facility.

Images

You can also use CPs to get a custom image on any of the entities you may own. You do so on the page linked just above, and supply the ID number of the entity you want a new image of, as well as the url addresses for the new images. You will need to host these images on the internet beforehand, so if you do not have your own website, using an image hosting site such as Photobucket or Imageshack is what most people do.

Bear in mind that there are a number of rules regarding the quality of the images you provide. If your images do not meet these criteria, they will be declined, along with a reason why. Once accepted, your images will replace the standard rules images, and will be viewable anywhere the old image was.

Images cost 250 CPs for one of the publically available custom images (you get to choose out of those possible), and 500 CPs for those that are entirely unique. Your submission will be reviewed by the Art Team before being accepted/rejected. You can also do this at any time.

Custom NPC

You can spawn a Custom class NPC at your location for 500 CPs. You provide a name, a 100x100 image (using the same rules as for Custom Images), then choose the race and gender of the NPC. Once you click the [Exchange] link it will be submitted. The NPC will appear in your inventory, but will not appear at your location until it has been accepted by the team. You can do this at any time.

Custom Item

Much like Custom NPCs, these will spawn at your location after they have been accepted by the team. You provide a small and large image for the item, a name, a description, and choose which slots you can equip it on your character. These cost 250 CPs, and can be done at any time.
